'49% of children express that they no longer want to live'
The children of Gaza have endured unimaginable trauma. They have lived through horrors no child should ever face—some so deeply affected that their hair has turned grey, and even babies have suffered heart attacks from sheer fear.
Severe Trauma Symptoms:
Children are exhibiting signs of deep trauma, such as convulsions, aggression, bed-wetting, and heightened nervousness. A significant number report intense anxiety and fears of imminent death
High Rates of PTSD:
Studies have found that a substantial proportion of Palestinian children suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with rates ranging from 23% to 70%. This high prevalence is attributed to continuous exposure to violence and instability.
3,000 children have lost limbs since October 2023
Gaza now has the highest number of child amputees per capita globally. More than 10 children per day, on average, have lost one or both of their legs in Gaza since the conflict escalated
Al Bayt Al Amal
To address this crisis, we established Al Bayt Al Amal School—"The House of Hope"—a sanctuary where learning, healing, and dreaming are possible once again.
We provide:
Play Therapy: Offering children an outlet to process their trauma, express themselves, and rebuild resilience.
Daily Meals: Ensuring every child receives at least one nutritious meal a day, essential for their physical and mental well-being
Our Goal
To expand our centre into a comprehensive rehabilitation facility, providing physiotherapy for children who have suffered amputations due to war.

Our Mission:

"From Trauma to Triumph."

To provide a safe space for Gaza’s war-affected children, offering trauma-informed therapy, emotional healing, physiotherapy and the tools to rebuild their futures.
