Education and Play Therapy
The children of Gaza have endured unimaginable trauma. Some have been so deeply affected that their hair has turned grey, and even babies have suffered heart attacks from sheer fear. Since October 2023, children have been without formal education, and a once-thriving society with one of the highest literacy rates in the world now faces a generation losing hope. Many children express despair, with 49% stating they no longer want to live, and nightmares are a constant reality for most.
In response to this crisis, we established Al Bayt Al Amal School—"The House of Hope"—to restore a sense of normalcy and optimism for Gaza’s children. This school serves as a sanctuary where 70 children currently attend daily, learning English, Arabic, Mathematics, and Quran studies.
Our Efforts
To address both educational and emotional needs, we provide:
Education: A structured curriculum to instill knowledge and confidence.
Play Therapy: Offering children an outlet to process their trauma and rebuild resilience.
Daily Meal: We are working on developing a canteen to ensure children receive at least one nutritious meal a day, vital for their physical and mental well-being.
Our Goals
Expand the school to accommodate more children in need.
Equip the school with tables, chairs, and adequate stationery.
Hire three additional teachers to broaden subject offerings and reduce class sizes.
Your Support is Urgently Needed
This school has become a beacon of hope for Gaza’s children, helping them dream of a future once again. However, we urgently need your help to keep Al Bayt Al Amal School running and growing. With your support, we can ensure these children continue to learn, heal, and believe in a brighter tomorrow.
